Case study · Artek Nexus product
From the next assignment to the final check.
Cleaner connects the people, places and evidence behind cleaning work. Managers assign tasks and review completion; field teams follow their work, record progress and submit the required evidence.
Cleaner is designed and built by Artek Nexus. This case study presents our own product, not a commissioned client project.
One shared operation.

01
The problem
Cleaning work moves between people and sites. When instructions live in messages, photos sit elsewhere and a completed status has no context, the manager has to reconstruct what happened. Cleaner brings the assignment, progress and evidence together around the work.

01
Plan the work
Assign a person, site, scheduled time and completion requirements. Day, week and month views help coordinate tasks; daily routes show scheduled stops.
02
Record and review completion
Keep shift attendance separate from task time. Employees submit required photo evidence; managers record review decisions and notes alongside the task.
03
Connect sites, spaces and supplies
Organize sites and inventory. Pro adds floors and spaces in a 2D planner; inventory is optional on Starter and included in Pro.
04
Help the team stay connected
Direct and team chat supports on-device text translation between English, French and Spanish. Chat is optional on Starter and included in Pro. Issue reports and announcements support everyday follow-up.
03
Implementation choices
Roles follow responsibilities
Owners and managers coordinate work and review evidence. Field staff focus on their assignments, instructions and completion actions.
Evidence supports a human decision
A photo or location update is a useful signal, not an automatic quality judgement. Review decisions and notes remain explicit; corrective work is assigned separately.
Clear limits are part of the design
Presence means the latest recorded update, not continuous background tracking. Offline support is partial; photo submission needs connectivity. Cleaner is not a payroll system or an automatic route optimizer.
04
What the product demonstrates
A concrete example of software shaped around an industry’s daily work.
One traceable assignment
Person, place, instructions and submitted evidence stay connected.
Different roles, a shared record
The employee’s next action and the manager’s review serve the same task.
A practical language choice
The interface and supported incoming chat translation use English, French or Spanish.
The walkthrough uses fictional records. Real Android captures are identified and shown in English. These demonstrate capabilities, not measured client results. Plan and platform availability are confirmed during onboarding; advanced reporting is not included.
